Seongnam Industry Promotion Foundation, Discusses the Age of Convergence between Block-chain and Games

[Seongnam Connect Seminar], a seminar for the convergence of the gaming industry and block-chain technology, will be held at Seongnam Industry Promotion Foundation’s Auditorium(Jeongja Station Kins Tower 7th Floor) on the 31st.

The Seongnam Connect seminar, hosted by Seongnam City and run by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Foundation, is operated by the Korea Mobile Games Association. It provides information on the complex content, which is of great importance in the 4th Industrialization, and is designed to contribute to the expansion of insights of companies such as small, mid-sized and venture companies.

In this seminar, not only special lectures for creating new ecosystem of game industry based on the block chain technology that has been used in various industries in recent years will be held, but also an expert forum discussing game industry growth and development strategy, and innovation for the gaming industry will be held.

In the first lecture, a total of 6 experts will introduce block-chain platforms and services, and will hold various lectures on developing a block-chain game. ▲Kim Chun-il, Plactal CEO, will a project that will tokenize gameplay data from more than 2 billion mobile gamers around the world with the subject of "Tokenizing Billions of Gamer's Experience".

Secondly, Plactal CEO Kim Chun-il, who has 15 years of experience in mobile services, has built a mobile voucher-platform at KTH, and has led the launch of professional mobile app startups as a representative of ReadyBuck. ▲EDRA KOREA CTO Seo Hyun-chul will present a vision of a new mobile ecosystem to be implemented in the future through the EDRA block-chain technology, with the theme of ‘EDRA’s vision and ecosystem'.

Next, ▲Block-chain Ventures executive Huh Jung-hui will present the Game X Coin(GXC) block-chain game platform and its application plan based on EOS, which allows game developers and game users to benefit more.

In the 4th lecture, ▲Supreme Tree CEO Cho Sung-won discusses HTML5, ContentBloc, consensus algorithm for content blocks and challenges for developing mainnet with the subject ‘Content Blocks and PoP Algorithm Algorithm’. For the 5th lecture, ▲Code-Box CEO Cho Mi-sun announces the "Go-Crypto-Bot” story in which she got rejected by Apple for 1 month. CodeBox is a block-chain based mobile-learning game that will deliver an AppStore launching strategy for Go-Crypto-Bot, which is a unity engine-based mobile game that is an advanced version from the simple web-based crypto game.

In the last special lecture, ▲Lawyer Kim Jin-wook of law firm Shinwon will examine the concepts of block chain with the topic ‘Games and Block-chain, the legal issues of cryptocurrency game application’. He will examine the application and effects of the current block chain technology to the game industry and introduce case studies of current block-chain technology applied to the game industry. He will also review the legal problems when cryptocurrency is applied to the game industry and the trends of current cryptocurrency regulations around the world.

In the second part, expert and on-site forum, the Korea Mobile Game Association Vice-President Kim Hyun-gyu will host and share opinions on block-chain and the game industry with experts.

The Korea Mobile Game Association President Hwang Sung-ik stated that, “As an alternative to the current industrial structure where small and medium game developers cannot easily generate real profits, the block chain technology will offer a higher value.” He continued, “The combination of the block chain and the game industry will serve as an opportunity to create a virtuous cycle structure that improves the profitability of developers, produces high quality games, and improves users' interests.”
